If your windows have broken down and contain moisture or mist up from time to time you should consider replacing them with a better type of unit that will improve heat retention. It will also reduce the amount of condensation on the inside pane of glass (not between the panes) that occurs from October to March. The replacement glass/double glazed units have a special coating on the inside glass pane which reduces heat going out and cold coming in.
